What's the point of being Christian?

Christianity is more than being good people and living peacefully with others.Christianity is about having someone to carry you through the difficult times and the joyful moments-God.It's about having full support through prayer and through the study of God's word.Christianity is about gaining victory and breaking the boundaries of "no is perfect" to "being perfect" as Jesus is.

The hope of the Christian doesn't end when we die. There is hope even beyond the grave

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.~1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,~1 Thessalonians 5:9

God has a bigger plan beyond this sin-filled world. He has prepared a sinless world, where there will be no pain, sin,or the misery we hear about and this offer stands for all.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.~Revelation 21:1-7

17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.~Isaiah 65:17-25

Almost

One of the modes of transports in Cape Town is a train and they usually arrive hourly, which means if you are làte then you have to wait an hour to cath the next train. There are always three groups:those who are on time(and have been waiting for a while),those who arrive just in time and those who almost catch the train.

The last group's condition is the saddest because they see the train and have the hope that they will catch it and sometimes people alert the driver but nonetheless the train leaves them.It reminds me of the 5 foolish virgins.Maybe they thought by being amongst the wise virgins they would receive favor, but Alas, they perished.

Almost yielded to Christ is not the same as fully yielded. The sad thing is,some think there will be another chance for salvation. It's not like tha.Christ died once so that we can be free. When Jesus comes again,he will come take those that are not in sin and those who have accepted him as their personal Saviour-meaninng,they will seek to please him in all they do.

For the rest, they die when Jesus comes and after a millenium, they are given their sentence and they die and will never exist again.

Use this chance to work at your salvation and to get to know God's will. There isn't a second a chance concerning eternal life. You choose

ETERNAL LIFE QUESTION :-)

Back in full swing!God is good and he has kept me thus far.

I hope you guys are well as well :),and are growing closer to God.

In Matthew 19:16-22 there is a dialogue between the rich young man and Jesus. This young man asks Jesus how he can obtain eternal life, and Jesus gives a direct answer, “keep the commandments” .And this man goes on to ask “which?”(And personally I believe by which he actually meant the ceremonial/moral law) And as Jesus mentions these commandments you realize that they are identical to those found in Exodus 20:3-17.Now, tell me, do you think Jesus is so “messed up” that He’ll say this and then inspire Paul, to write that, this SAME LAW, has been nailed to the cross? Do you really think that Jesus who loves you so much and died so that you could have eternal life will expect the young man to keep ALL THE 10 C0MMANDMENTS to obtain eternal life, BUT NOT YOU? Do you really think Jesus, who loves you, would fool you into keeping nine commandments out of 10 and then go back and say :Keeping 9 commandments out of 10 avails to NOTHING ( James 2:10-11)?Clearly, the Sabbath does matter, as the other nine commandments. Let’s be honest for once, why would the seventh day Sabbath that was instituted before sin (Genesis 2:1-3), be nailed to the cross or be transferred to the first day of the week when it has such significance? God’s Law is not directly proportional to circumstances. It stays the same, and so does God (Malachi 3:6).Sin did not change God’s LAW. God’s law still remains the same. That’s why Jesus died, because God’s law cannot be changed.

< JUST THINK ABOUT IT>

Soon,I hope to add why the Seventh Day Sabbath is crucial :)!

Thankful Wednesday: the good men that I cross paths with

I love my job because I get to meet people from different walks of life. There's been one elderly man who has become a father figure to...
