CHRISTIAN SERVICE :)

I'm always shocked when I hear a christian say "I'm bored". I'm always trying to break it down.Does that mean:they've shared or taught everyone in their neighbourhood about the Word of God?Does that mean they've told everyone they come across about Jesus and His second coming? Do they mean they've visited all the sick people in hospitals and given them hope?Do they mean they've gone to every surrounding prison and given hope to the prisoners?Do they mean they've read the whole Bible and have a thorough understanding of everything?Have they helped everyone,in such a way that no one is in need?

Well,It's only now that I've found my PURPOSE.Now,I know I was created for a PURPOSE,and that purpose is to reveal God's glory. This is the call to every Christian, “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you."~Isaiah 60:1.In fact,Matthew 5:13-16,goes even further, telling me that I have to be a light(by action, words, dress, etc) that draws others to Christ. In fact,in Matthew 28:18-20,Jesus has given us the whole duty of a christian.

Personally,as I look around,I realise now is the time to stand for God and be set apart. The world is in such confusion, such that, some who claim to know God,are still missing some Biblical concepts. And I believe that's where we come in as christians. We are called to bring hope to the world, that is,Jesus. We are called to lead others to Christ. He's the only one who can come through for them.

Many, lie in their sick beds, some have problems in the home, some are even tempted to take their own lives because they don't know their value to God.God has commanded,"love your neighbour as yourself"~Mark 12:31 and that includes shedding the light so that they may be saved. The fulfillment of Matthew 24:14,is dependent on each christian, committing himself or herself to the salvation of mankind.

As His representatives among men, God does not choose angels who have never
fallen, but human beings, men of like passions with those they seek to save. Christ took
humanity that He might reach humanity. A divine-human Saviour was needed to bring
salvation to the world. And to men and women has been committed the sacred trust of
making known "the unsearchable riches of Christ."-- The Acts of the Apostles, p. 134.

In His wisdom the Lord brings those who are seeking for truth into touch with fellow
beings who know the truth. It is the plan of Heaven that those who have received light shall
impart it to those in darkness. Humanity, drawing its efficiency from the great Source of
wisdom, is made the instrumentality, the working agency, through which the gospel exercises
its transforming power on mind and heart.--The Acts of the Apostles, p. 134.

Every true disciple is born into the kingdom of God as a missionary. He who drinks of the
living water becomes a fountain of life. The receiver becomes a giver. The grace of Christ in
the soul is like a spring in the desert, welling up to refresh all, and making those who are
ready to perish eager to drink of the water of life.--The Desire of Ages, p. 195.

God gave us the great commission, and He added a promise,"And surely I am with you always,to the very end of the age."~Matthew 28:20

Jesus never asks us to do something he hasn't done. While on earth,Jesus came to "seek and to save the lost"~Luke 19:10.And we are to do the same.
God expects personal service from every one to whom He has intrusted a knowledge of
the truth for this time. Not all can go as missionaries to foreign lands, but all can be home
missionaries in their families and neighborhoods. --Testimonies, vol. 9, p. 30.

There is nothing that Christ desires so much as agents who will represent to the world His Spirit and
character. There is nothing that the world needs so much as the manifestation through
humanity of the Saviour's love. All heaven is waiting for channels through which can be
poured the holy oil to be a joy and blessing to human hearts.-- Christ's Object Lessons, p.
419.

What a privilege,to walk as Jesus walked :)
