Mentoring/Counselling

Last year,a friend and I started a ministry. He'd refer girls/young ladies to me who were still new in the faith and I'd counsel them, pray for them and share my advice with them-biblical advice. And I must say this was really fulfilling and I realised I enjoy ministering to other ladies-because we face the same challenges and even if the challenges are not the same, there is common ground. It's comforting and humbling-having people trusting you with their secrets/fears.The joy is cannot be defined!

A sister and I then went on to mentor the girls in our church and this was so exciting for me.This not only meant I share with these girls what God's plan is for them, but I grew too.I had to find biblical answers for them and we even played Bible quizzes.Unfortunately,i moved to the Cape.I just pray that the seed will germinate into something beautiful. All I can do is pray for them.

Mentoring young ladies has made me realise there are many hurting souls out there and they need a shoulder to cry on.But moreover, they need to be led to the One who can mend broken hearts. And in turn, they will also be a blessing to other souls.I'm not claiming to know everything, but I know the God who has a solution to everything. And sometimes all that people need is a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on.Or just a sister!

I believe if young girls had people to talk to,people to counsel with-who honor God before their own opinions, many girls will be saved from making a decision they would regret. Some sisters just need encouragement in the Christian journey and motivation.

So,I'm offering myself to any girl/sister who's going through pain, needs advice or just needs a sister or Bible study partner, feel free to email me on:mjoy276@gmail.com.Hopefully when I do buy a phone with whatsApp,you can add me.Or you can find me on fb:Mercy Joy

  1. A lot of young ladies in my church have actually been opening up to me and now I believe God is telling me through this that I must mentor them. Please pray that I do that seeking to glorify God not me because at the end I must really lead them to Christ
